  • The Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge: This is a vertical lift rail road bridge which spans the Cape Code Canal. The bridge was built in 1935 and it has a 544 foot long center span. The bridge is always left in the up position. (Note the huge One thousand ton counter weight within the frame work of the bridge - near it's base.
