".....the way each person perceives his or her surroundings, and then responds to them, is different. Since those perceptions and responses are at the heart of how a photographer chooses a subject and then chooses a way to capture it and process it, and at the heart of what each person looks for and reacts to in someone else’s pictures or artworks, it would be surprising if everyone shared a uniform opinion about any given, say, photograph. As I proceed along a path of discovering who I am as a photographer, I do sometimes wonder just what it was that caught my eye enough to make me stop and really see the thing in a way that then made me want to photograph it. But rarely do I wonder at that moment of inspiration whether anyone else will share my vision, or appreciate it. Of course, I hope others will enjoy my work, but I don’t demand or even expect that they will see it the way I do. How could they? Especially in the case of subjects that carry some deep emotional association for me personally. Some difference of opinion is expected. It’s the vast differences of opinion I’m clueless about." Elizabeth Jacob 6/17/2011 I've downloaded and deleted this shot several times. After re-reading Elizabeth's blog a couple of times I've opted to post this to see what you think. Happy Thursday!!!
